DECKHENGSTE

Ein Vollblüter ist etwas Besonderes, Außergewöhnliches. Das passt zu dem Slogan "Vollblut - die interessanteste Pferderasse der Welt". Sie entstand in England aus Kreuzungen von Stuten der Landrasse mit edlen orientalischen Hengsten (Berber, Araber, Türken) mit dem Ziel, schnelle und ausdauernde Pferde zu züchten.

 
 

Nach Angaben des Engländers J. Osborne geschah dies bereits um 1200. Nachweislich wurden zu Beginn des 14. Jahrhunderts in Newmarket, ca. 100 km nördlich von London, die ersten Rennen durchgeführt. Als offizielle Geburtsstunde der Vollblutzucht muss man die 1793 in England erfolgte Herausgabe des ersten Gestütbuches (General Stud Book) ansehen. Dazu wurden 1791 in einer Art Vorbuch alle um diese Zeit verwendeten heimischen und eingeführten Stuten und Hengste zusammengefasst.

Auf dieses erste Gestütbuch sind alle Vollblüter nunmehr über mehr als 30 Generationen hinweg lückenlos zurückzuführen. Die drei sogenannten Stammväter Byerley Turk, Darley Arabian und Godolphin Arabian, die um 1700 nach England eingeführt wurden, sind unter den Vorfahren von mindestens 80 Prozent aller Vollblüter der Welt zu finden.

Die Auswahl von Zuchttieren erfolgt seit jeher aufgrund einer scharfen und einzigartig konsequenten Prüfung in Rennen. Seit 1709 werden die Ergebnisse aller Galopprennen mit sämtlichen Einzelheiten in Rennkalendern aufgeführt. Nur der Vollblüter, der im Rennen gesund und schnell genug ist, wird zur Weiterzucht verwendet. Die systematische Leistungsprüfung des Galopprennsports ist beispielhaft für die gesamte Tierzucht. 

Die Vollblutzucht wird deshalb mit Recht "Krone der Tierzucht" genannt. Vollblut wird seit mehr als 30 Generationen ohne fremde Blutzufuhr nur nach der Rennleistung gezüchtet und hat aufgrund dieses Ausleseverfahrens (Härte, Schnelligkeit, Ausdauer und Charakter) die schnellsten und edelsten Pferde hervorgebracht. Jedes Vollblutpferd ist in einem international anerkannten Gestütbuch für Vollblut eingetragen. Lückenloser Abstammungsnachweis ist dabei oberstes Gebot.

Deutscher Galopp

Die neue Marke Deutscher Galopp (ehemals GERMAN RACING) bildet die große Dachmarke, unter der spannende Pferderennen und stimmungsvolle Veranstaltungen auf den deutschen Rennbahnen stattfinden. Gleichzeitig fungiert die Marke als Oberbegriff für den Galopprennsport in Deutschland.
